If you haven’t heard of or read the Manhattan Declaration, I encourage you to do so.  If you are interested in defending religious liberty, and the sanctity of life and marriage I encourage you to sign it.  You can click here to go to their main website to learn about them.  You can click here to get articles, videos, and blogs with information on how to respond lovingly and Biblically to advocates of same-sex marriage.

Marriage and the President

I was disturbed by the President’s comments today about gay marriage.  It wasn’t because he is in favor of gay marriage.  Everyone with half a brain already knew that.  I was disturbed that he said it was his Christian faith that led him to the position.  “We (he and his wife) are both practicing Christians and obviously this position may be considered to put us at odds with the views of others but, you know, when we think about our faith, the thing at the root that we think about is, not only Christ sacrificing Himself on our behalf, but it is also the Golden Rule – treat others the way you want to be treated.”

Of course the obvious question is, “Does that apply to unborn babies?”  I guess he hasn’t evolved to practicing his idea of the Christian faith there.

I say “his idea of the Christian faith” on purpose.  A “practicing Christian” says, “Jesus is Lord.”  That statement means what His Word says, goes.  We don’t get to evolve to positions of our own preference and call it love.

Unfortunately, many Christian are caught in this kind of deception which is why I posted an article I wrote a while back, The Open-Minded Deception.  Please read it below.

God bless,
